I was a student at Farmingdale State College, until on one fateful day the idea for The Spot was created. The idea was to create a bar and grill with an atmosphere that represents NYC nightlife. My goal is to ensure that everything in the bar operates efficiently and correctly. Every customer that visits The Spot should receive excellent service and enjoy their experience. I have selected only the best employees to help make The Spot one of the best bars in NYC!

David - Manager

I am 22 years old from Long Island NY. I am a college graduate with an associates degree in business management. I have been working in the restaurant business for 10 years. From busing tables to serving customers, I have the knowledge and experience to give the best service. I understand the in's & outs to a restaurant and my position as a manager at "The Spot" makes my life easier because I love managing the team. The atmosphere inside "The Spot" comes right from our experienced and outstanding staff.

Lena - Bartender

Hi my name is Lena, and I have been bartending for 8 years now. I got my license at a top notch bar tending school! My aspiration is for my customers to get fast service and the most delicious drinks. Being a bartender is not only about making drinks it's also about meeting new people and making sure the customers feel welcomed. I have a lot of knowledge about making all kinds of drinks and I love sharing all my secrets to the customers that come to The Spot!

Amina - Head Chef

My name is Amina. I am a student at Farmingdale State College and am also working as a chef at The Spot. I am a business management major along with a minor in legal law. I have attended The International Culinary Center in NYC and have experience for over ten years in many different restaurants in the area.  I am very enthusiastic and excited when I see a diverse atmosphere in our bar and grill because it engages a beautiful environment where everyone can enjoy great food and great drinks. The vision of The Spot is to bring young people from all backgrounds together and enjoy a taste of the best NYC has to offer. I prepare many different types of appetizers and dishes for our customers. I operate the business and food very well and make sure every customer leaves very satisfied. This is not just a career but I’m very passionate about preparing and serving great food to our customers. At the end of the day seeing our customers leave with a smile and being satisfied with their overall experience is all The Spot is concerned about. I am honored to be working at The Spot because it is the ultimate spot to be at.

Bob - Manager

I am Bob. I am the assistant manager here at the spot. I studied business management at Farmingdale University. As assistant manager, I make sure that that our customers have an enjoyable experience that will make them want to come back time and time again. My main duties are customer relations, promotion and entertainment.
